''You Are Someone Else'' is the debut studio album by British indie pop collective Fickle Friends. It was released on 16 March 2018 through Polydor Records. The album and single artwork was designed by visual artist Mat Maitland, who worked with the likes of Michael Jackson and Josef Salvat and is the co-creator of the seafox mascot for Galantis. Background After the band officially released their debut extended play, entitled ''Velvet'' in 2015, which was produced alongside Mike Crossey, they started recording new music with the intention of going in a different direction sonically, but not veering far off from their pop rock roots. In 2016, they released the single "Swim", which was released originally as their debut single back in 2014. Fickle Friends
Fickle Friends are an English indie rock band from Brighton, East Sussex, England. The band formed in 2013, and is made up of Natassja Shiner (vocals, keyboard), Harry Herrington ( bass, backing vocals), Sam Morris (drums) and Jack Wilson (keyboards). Natassja met Sam at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and met Chris, Harry and Jack the following year in BIMM Brighton. After two years touring the UK and Europe without a label or publisher and playing 53 festivals across 2 years, Fickle Friends signed to Polydor Records. The band recorded their debut album in Los Angeles with Mike Crossey and it was released on 16 March 2018 during a promotional UK tour. Josef Salvat
Josef Ignatius Salvat (born 28 October 1988) is an Australian singer and songwriter. He had his first international success after the release of his Extended play, EP ''In Your Prime'' in 2014, which included a cover of Rihanna's song "Diamonds (Rihanna song), Diamonds" that reached #2 in France and was used in a commercial by Sony under the Bravia (brand), Bravia brand. Salvat has released music in English language, English and French language, French, and has collaborated with Gryffin and Paloma Faith, writing the song "If Loving You Was Easy" for her album Infinite Things. Paramore
Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro. Williams and Farro are founding members of the group, while York, a high school friend of the original lineup, joined in 2007. The band is signed to Fueled by Ramen, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, both owned by Warner Music Group. Williams was separately signed to Atlantic as she was scouted when she was a teenager, and they were the only label to let her stay in the band instead of going solo, but Atlantic said the rest of the band had to sign to Fueled by Ramen. ''The Only Way Is Essex'' (often abbreviated as ''TOWIE'' ) is a British reality television series based in Brentwood, Essex, England. Galantis is a Swedish electronic dance music production, songwriting and DJ duo consisting of Christian Karlsson (DJ), Christian Karlsson and Style of Eye, Linus Eklöw. Mat Maitland
Mat Maitland is an English art director and visual artist who lives in London. He is renowned for his photo collage works and for co-creating numerous music mascots for music artists because of his creative direction, including the "seafox" for Galantis. Career Maitland started his career at WEA (Warner Bros. Records) as a designer. Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music.
