YouWin!
YouWin is a youth development scheme, established in Nigeria by Goodluck Jonathan’s government, with the aim of empowering Nigerian youth by providing grants to small business owners. It is run as a competition, where entrants submit their business plans which are then evaluated by the Enterprise Development Center of the Pan-African University. Winners receive up to N10 million (around $64,000), paid in instalments, subject to adherence to the submitted plan. The program is a private and public initiative that finances outstanding business-plans for young entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The Pan-African University (or Pan African University) (PAU) is a post-graduate training and research network of university nodes in five regions, supported by the African Union and the Association of African Universities. Youth in Nigeria includes citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria aged 18–29 years according to the new-youth policy (2019).
