Jotham or Yotam (; el, Ιωαθαμ, Ioatham; la, Joatham) was the eleventh king of Judah, and son of King Uzziah and Jerusha (or Jerushah), daughter of Zadok. Jotham was 25 years old when he began his reign, and he reigned for 16 years. Edwin R. Thiele concluded that his reign commenced as a coregency with his father, which lasted for 11 years. Because his father Uzziah was afflicted with ''tzaraath'' after he went into the Temple to burn incense, Jotham became governor of the palace and the land at that time, i.e. coregent, while his father lived in a separate house as a leper. William F. Albright dated his reign to 742–735 BCE. Thiele dated his coregency with Uzziah starting in 751/750 BCE and his sole reign from 740/39 to 736/735 BCE, at which time he was deposed by the pro-Assyrian faction in favor of his son Ahaz. Jotham Blanchard
Jotham Blanchard (March 15, 1800 – July 14, 1839) was a lawyer, newspaper editor, and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Halifax County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1830 to 1836. He was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire, United States, and is the son of Jonathan Blanchard and Sarah Goggins. With his parents, he went to Truro, Nova Scotia in 1801. The family later settled at Pictou. Blanchard was educated at the Pictou Academy Pictou Academy (PA), founded in 1815 by Dr. Thomas McCulloch, is a secondary school in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Jotham Johnson
Jotham Johnson (born October 21, 1905 in Newark, New Jersey; died February 8, 1967, in New York, New York) was an American classical archaeologist. He was educated at Princeton University (A.B. 1926) and the University of Pennsylvania where he received his doctorate in 1931. He taught at the University of Pittsburgh and then joined the faculty of New York University. He was the chairman of classics at the time of his death from an apparent heart attack. He was involved in archaeological fieldwork at the site of Dura Europos in Syria. Later he became involved in the excavations at the site of Minturnae in Italy, under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania. With Kenan T. Erim he conducted fieldwork at Aphrodisias in the early 1960s. In 1961 he became president of the Archaeological Institute of America where he served until 1964. Jotham Meeker
Jotham Meeker (Hamilton County, Ohio, November 8, 1804—January 12, 1855) was a Baptist missionary, printer, who lived and proselytized among various Native American peoples, including the Delaware, Ottawa, and Shawnee. He was born near Cincinnati, Ohio, and at the age of 21 became a teacher of the Indians, first at Carey Station, headed by Isaac McCoy. near present-day Niles, Michigan, November, 1825. Also joining the Station was 17-year-old Eleanor Richardson, who later became Jotham's wife. Meeker and Richardson moved to Thomas Station at the rapids of the Grand River in 1827. Jotham Tumwesigye is a Ugandan lawyer and judge who has served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Uganda since 2009. Background and education He was born in Uganda circa 1948. He graduated from Makerere University in 1974, with a Bachelor of Laws. He also holds a Diploma in Legal Practice. Jotham Gay (April 11, 1733 – October 16, 1802) was an army officer, who served at Fort Edward (Nova Scotia), and political figure in Nova Scotia. He represented Cumberland County in the Legislative Assembly of Nova Scotia from 1772 to 1774. The son of the Reverend Ebenezer Gay and Jerusha Bradford, he was probably born in Hingham, Massachusetts. Gay received a land grant in Cumberland County in 1761. He was a colonel in the continental army, serving at Louisbourg and at Fort Beauséjour. He was elected to the assembly in a 1772 by-election held after Joshua Winslow was unseated for non-attendance. Gay later moved to Westmorland County, New Brunswick, then returned to Hingham where he died at the age of 69.
