Yoshio Kushida
is a Japanese seismologist, amateur astronomer and a discoverer of minor planets and comets. Kushida is the founder of the Yatsugatake South Base Observatory. He is credited by the Minor Planet Center with the discovery of 56 numbered minor planets during 1988–1994, most of them in collaboration with astronomer Osamu Muramatsu, as well as with Masaru Inoue and with his wife Reiki Kushida. He also discovered and co-discoverer the two periodic comets 144P/Kushida and 147P/Kushida-Muramatsu, respectively. Yoshio Kodama
was a Japanese right-wing ultranationalist and a prominent figure in the rise of organized crime in Japan. The most famous '' kuromaku'', or behind-the-scenes power broker, of the 20th century, he was active in Japan's political arena and criminal underworld from the 1930s to the 1970s, and became enormously wealthy through his involvement in smuggling operations. Yoshio Kodaira
was a Japanese serial killer, serial rapist, and war criminal who murdered at least 8 people in the Tokyo and Tochigi Prefecture areas between 1932 and 1946. Kodaira killed his father-in-law in 1932 and later raped and murdered at least 7 women between 1945 and 1946 by inviting them into forested areas around Tochigi and Tokyo under the guise of giving them food or employment. Kodaira was sentenced to death after being convicted of killing the seven women and executed in 1949.
