York Mills GO Bus Terminal is located at 4023 Yonge Street, near the northeast corner of York Mills Road, in the North York area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The terminal mainly supports GO Transit's bus services east and west across the Highway 401 corridor and is adjacent to York Mills station on the Yonge-University-Spadina line of the Toronto Subway. Location The bus station is on the ground floor of York Mills Centre, Building 4, constructed by York-Trillium Development Group Limited in 1992. This space is part of the upper level of York Mills subway station and leased from the Toronto Transit Commission/City of Toronto, but is separate and distinct from the TTC facility that it is connected to. Hoggs Hollow
Hoggs Hollow is a residential neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the Don River Valley and centred on the intersection of Yonge Street, York Mills Road, and Wilson Avenue. Hoggs Hollow is named after the Hogg family. James Hogg (1797–1839), a Scotsman settled in the area in 1824. Hogg operated a whisky distillery and a grist mill and was viewed as the most successful of all the millers in the valley. The name is usually written without the apostrophe as Hoggs Hollow but sometimes appears as Hogg's Hollow. A double-decker bus or double-deck bus is a bus that has two storeys or decks. They are used for mass transport in the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and also in cities such as Sydney; the best-known example is the red London bus, namely the AEC Routemaster. Early double-deckers put the driver in a separate cab. Passenger access was via an open platform at the rear and a bus conductor collected fares. Modern double-deckers have a main entrance door at the front and the driver takes fares, thus halving the number of workers aboard, but slowing the boarding process. GO Transit Fleet
GO Transit, the interregional public transit system in Southern Ontario, has a number of various road and rail vehicles. This includes 90 locomotives, 979 train coaches, and 752 buses. Rail Locomotives ;Active: The vast majority of GO Transit's active locomotive fleet consists of MP40PH-3C diesel-electric locomotives manufactured by MotivePower in Boise, Idaho. These replaced most of the older EMD F59PH over a 4-year transition program from 2008 to 2011. York Mills is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 4015 Yonge Street at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and York Mills Road in the neighbourhood of Hoggs Hollow.
