Dwight York is an American stand-up comedian and writer originally from Wisconsin. York has released two albums on Stand Up! Records, most recently ''Belongs In a Bar''. Both ''Laughspin'' and ''The Serious Comedy Site'' called his album ''Quickies'' one of the best comedy albums of 2009. Early life York was born in Amery, Wisconsin, and graduated from Amery High School in 1980. In contrast to the "drifter" persona he puts on when performing comedy, York has said his "family was normal, small-town, churchgoing. They're not crazy." Jerome Bailey York (June 22, 1938 – March 18, 2010), commonly known as Jerry York, was an American businessman, and the chairman, president and CEO of Harwinton Capital. He was the former CFO of IBM and Chrysler, and was CEO of Micro Warehouse. He was a chief aide to Kirk Kerkorian and his Tracinda investment company. In February 2006, Kerkorian helped elect York to the board of directors of General Motors, from which he had previously resigned. Biography York was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1938 and lived in Oakland Township, Michigan. He earned degrees from the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, and was trained as an engineer. Jerry York (born July 25, 1945) is an American former ice hockey coach who was the men's ice hockey coach at Boston College. York is the winningest coach in NCAA hockey, and leads the all-time list as the only Division I head coach with over 1,000 wins. He has won the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey title five times as a coach, at Bowling Green State University in 1984 and at Boston College in 2001, 2008, 2010 and 2012, tying him with Murray Armstrong for second-most all-time behind only Vic Heyliger (6). York was born November 24, 1839, in Exeter, New Hampshire, and died February 9, 1927, in Los Angeles, California. Harold Cameron York (born April 16, 1974) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played several seasons in the National Hockey League. Playing career Born in Ponoka, Alberta, York was the Alberta Junior Hockey League MVP and leading scorer in 1994–95 while playing for the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, but was not drafted. Gabe York (born August 2, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, earning second-team all-conference honors in the Pac-12 as a senior in 2015–16. High school career York attended Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, California. He averaged 24.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game as a senior where he became the all-time leading scorer of the school.
