Yonatan Cohen (fencer)
Yonatan Cohen ( he, יונתן כהן; born 29 June 1996) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a forward for Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israel national team. Early life Cohen was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a family of Ashkenazi Jewish and Polish-Jewish descent. His older brother Guy Cohen is also a footballer, and his father Mickey Cohen is an Israeli retired footballer who played for Maccabi Tel Aviv as well. He also holds a Polish passport, which eased his move to certain European football leagues. Club career Maccabi Tel Aviv Cohen began playing youth football for Maccabi Tel aviv before going on loans to Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla and to Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv. Ariel "Arik" Benado ( he, אריאל "אריק" בנאדו ; born 5 December 1973) is an Israeli football manager and former player who played as a centre-back. Playing career Benado was a second generation player at Maccabi Haifa; his father, Shlomo, appeared for Haifa in the 1970s. Arik began playing at the age of nine, rising through the ranks to the senior team. He spent a two-year spell with Beitar Jerusalem in the mid-1990s to gain experience. He has won five league championships and a State Cup title with Maccabi. The Israel State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה, ''Gvia HaMedina''), is a knockout cup competition in Israeli football, run by the Israel Football Association (IFA). The State Cup was first held in 1928 as the People's Cup. Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other, there is the possibility for "minnows" from the lower divisions to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament, although lower division teams rarely reach the final. Group G of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying was one of the ten groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2020 finals tournament.
