Wild Pink is an American indie rock band from the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens in New York City. History Wild Pink began in 2015, releasing an EP titled ''2 Songs''. In May 2015, Wild Pink joined Texas Is Funny Records and released a new single, as well as announcing a second EP, ''Good Life'', which was released on June 30, 2015. In 2016, the band announced their self-titled debut full-length album, which was released on the Tiny Engines label in February 2017. The band's second album, Yolk in the Fur, was released on July 20, 2018. The band's third album, A Billion Little Lights, was released on February 19, 2021, with Royal Mountain Records. Two months later, in April 2021, the band released the EP 6 Cover Songs, which includes cover to songs by Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, and a cover of the Jeopardy! theme tune. Controversy In November 2019, Stevie Knipe of Adult Mom accused Tiny Engines of a breach of contract due to the delayed payment of $8,000 in royalties. Knipe claimed that Tiny Engines sent no royalty payments between 2015 and May 2018 to the band. Other artists such as Mannequin Pussy and Christian Holden claimed to have experienced similar circumstances. ''A Billion Little Lights'' is the third studio album by American indie rock band Wild Pink. It was released on February 19, 2021 under Royal Mountain Records. Release On October 7, 2020, Wild Pink announced the release of their third studio album, along with the first single "The Shining But Tropical". In a press release, the band's lead vocalist John Ross explained the single: "It was inspired by Carl Sagan’s Cosmos as well as " If I Needed You" by Townes Van Zandt, this song is named for a grim retirement home in Florida. It’s about somebody who was born sheltered realising how large the world is and how unimportant they are." The second single "You Can Have It Back" was released on November 20, 2020, which also features Ratboys' lead vocalist Julia Steiner.
