Yolanda Moore
Yolanda Moore (born July 1, 1974) is a former American professional basketball player. She was the post game radio analyst for the Memphis Grizzlies in 2007. College playing career Moore played basketball at University of Mississippi and was a three-time All-Southeastern Conference post player. In 2010, she was inducted into Ole Miss Sports Hall of Fame. She graduated from Mississippi in 1997 with a bachelor's degree with a double major in English and radio and television. WNBA Moore played her first two years in the WNBA with the Houston Comets. Her debut game was played on July 9, 1997 in a 64 - 69 loss to the Phoenix Mercury where she recorded 2 points and 1 rebound. She only played in 13 of the Comets' 28 games of the season as the team finished 18 - 10. She did compete in the Comets' WNBA Finals game against the New York Liberty and won a championship ring. Port Gibson is a city in Claiborne County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,567 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census. Port Gibson is the county seat of Claiborne County, which is bordered on the west by the Mississippi River. It is the site of the Claiborne County Courthouse. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. MISS-LOU Junior College Conference
The Louisiana Community Colleges Athletic Conference (LCCAC) is a member conference of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). It, along with the Mississippi Association of Community & Junior Colleges, MACJC, are members of Region XXIII (or Region 23). The conference was once known as the MISS-LOU Junior College Conference, up until its name change in early 2019. The members of the LCCAC do not have football programs whereas the members of the MACJC do. The LCCAC is a junior college conference for many technical and community colleges. The 1999 WNBA season was the Orlando Miracle's inaugural season. The Miracle tied for second place in the conference with the Detroit Shock and the Charlotte Sting. The 1999 WNBA Season was the Women's National Basketball Association's third season. The 1999 season saw two expansion teams join the league, the Minnesota Lynx and Orlando Miracle. The 1998 WNBA season was the Women's National Basketball Association's second season. The 1998 season saw two expansion teams join the league, the Detroit Shock and Washington Mystics. The expansion teams allowed the defending champions Houston Comets to move to the Western Conference. The regular season was extended from 28 games to 30 games. The season ended with the Comets winning their second WNBA championship. During the season, Kelly Boucher became the first Canadian to play in the league, suiting up for the Charlotte Sting. The 1997 WNBA Season was the Women's National Basketball Association's first in existence. It started off with 8 franchises: Charlotte Sting, Cleveland Rockers, Houston Comets, Los Angeles Sparks, New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury, Sacramento Monarchs, and the Utah Starzz. It featured an inaugural game between the New York Liberty and the Los Angeles Sparks. The Sparks lost to the New York Liberty, 67–57. The attendance at the Forum was 14,284.
