Yogesh (lyricist)
Yogesh Gaur, or Gaud commonly credited as Yogesh, (March 19, 1943 – May 29, 2020), was an Indian writer and lyricist. He was known for his contributions to Bollywood, and possibly his best known works came from the film '' Anand'', songs including ''Kahin Door Jab Din Dal Jaaye'' and ''Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli'' (1971), and also ''Rajnigandha phool tumhare'' from the movie ''Rajnigandha'' (1974). Life Yogesh was born on 19 March 1943 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He moved to Bombay at the age of 16 looking for work and sought the help of his cousin Yogendra Gaur, who was a screenplay writer. His first break was in 1962, when he wrote six songs for the Bollywood movie Sakhi Robi including the song "Tum jo aa jao", which was sung by Manna Dey. The song launched his career in Bollywood. He worked with some of India's finest directors like Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee. Yogesh (born 6 July 1990; sometimes billed as Yogi) is an Indian actor and singer who predominantly appears in Kannada films. Lieutenant General Yogesh Kumar Joshi, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VrC, SM, ADC (born 5 January 1962) is a retired General Officer of the Indian Army. Pandit Yogesh Samsi (born 17 November 1968) is an Indian tabla player. Early life Yogesh Samsi was born in Delhi to renowned vocalist Pandit Dinkar Kaikini. Yogesh's father introduced him to music at the age of four. At the age of four he started learning the tabla from Pandit H. Taranath Rao. Later, he sought the guidance of Ustad Allah Rakha Khan, one of the greatest percussionists and father of renowned tabla player Zakir Hussain. He spent 23 years under the tutelage of Allarakha. Yogesh Atal (9 October 1937 – 13 April 2018) was an Indian sociologist. He held a Ph.D. degree in social anthropology and a D.Sc. (honoris causa). Career He joined UNESCO in 1974 and retired in 1997 as Principal Director in Social Sciences. He was honoured by the Maharana Mewar Foundation and the Indian Social Science Association for his contributions to social sciences. Yogesh Kumar Sabharwal (14 January 1942 – 3 July 2015) was the 36th Chief Justice of India. Career Sabharwal worked as an advocate for Indian Railways from 1969 to 1981, as an advocate for Delhi administration from 1973 to 1976-1977, later as Additional Standing Counsel and then as Standing Counsel. He also served as Counsel to the Central Government from 1980 to 1986. He represented Delhi in the Bar Council of India from 1969 to 1973.
