Yinon Magal
Yinon Magal ( he, ינון אלישע מגל, born 27 April 1969) is an Israeli journalist and politician. He served as a member of the Knesset for the Jewish Home for most of 2015. Biography Yinon Elisha Magal was born and raised in Bat Yam. During his IDF national service, he was a member of the Sayeret Matkal special forces, and was involved in the abduction of Abdel Karim Obeid. After leaving the army, he joined Kol Yisrael. Bat Yam
Bat Yam ( he, בַּת יָם or ) is a city located on Israel's Mediterranean Sea coast, on the Central Coastal Plain just south of Tel Aviv. It is part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area and the Tel Aviv District. In 2020, it had a population of 160,000. History British Mandate Bat Yam, originally Bayit VeGan (“House and Garden”), was founded in 1919 by the Bayit VeGan homeowners association, affiliated with the Mizrachi movement. The association was formed to establish a religious garden suburb in Jaffa. By March 1920, it had 400 members. In 1921, of land were purchased, of which 1,400 were formally registered by 1923. In September 1924, an urban blueprint was approved by the association. In early 1926, the plots were divided up and a lottery was held to determine who would build first. Channel 1 ( he, הערוץ הראשון, ''HaArutz HaRishon'', lit. ''The First Channel,'' sometimes called 1 ערוץ, ''Arutz Ahat'') was one of the oldest television channels in Israel (with only the Israeli Educational Television being older) and one of five terrestrial channels in the country (along with Channel 2, Channel 10, Channel 33 and the Knesset Channel). Hebrew (; ; ) is a Northwest Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family. 2015 Israeli Legislative Election
Early elections for the twentieth Knesset were held in Israel on 17 March 2015. Disagreements within the governing coalition, particularly over the budget and a "Jewish state" proposal, led to the dissolution of the government in December 2014. The Labor Party and Hatnuah formed a coalition, called Zionist Union, with the hope of defeating the Likud party, which had led the previous governing coalition along with Yisrael Beiteinu, Yesh Atid, The Jewish Home, and Hatnuah.
