2018 Summer Youth Olympics
The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics ( es, Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud de 2018), officially known as the III Summer Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Buenos Aires 2018, were an international sports, cultural, and educational event held from 6 to 18 October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They were the first Youth Olympic Games held outside of Eurasia, and the first Summer Games held outside of Asia and the first to be held in the Western and Southern hemispheres. The general classification is the most important classification, the one by which the winner of the Tour de France is determined. General Classification In The Giro D'Italia
The general classification in the Giro d'Italia is the most important classification of the Giro d'Italia, which determines who is the overall winner. It is therefore considered more important than secondary classifications as the points classification or the mountains classification. Since 1931, the leader of the general classification is identified by a pink jersey ( it, maglia rosa ). Prior to that year and since the creation of the race, no colour was used to distinguish the winner at the top of the classification. The first rider to wear the maglia rosa was Learco Guerra following the first stage of the 1931 Giro d'Italia. The first jersey was entirely pink and made from wool. In road bicycle racing, a Grand Tour is one of the three major European professional cycling stage races: Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. Collectively they are termed the ''Grand Tours'', and all three races are similar in format, being three-week races with daily stages. They have a special status in the UCI regulations: more points for the UCI World Tour are distributed in Grand Tours than in other races, and they are the only stage races allowed to last longer than 14 days. All three races have a substantial history, with the Tour de France first held in 1903, Giro d'Italia first held in 1909 and the Vuelta a España first held in 1935. The 2020 Tour du Rwanda was a road cycling stage race that took place in Rwanda between 23 February and 1 March 2020. The race was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2020 UCI Africa Tour, and was the 23rd edition of the Tour du Rwanda. Natnael Tesfatsion, riding for the Eritrean national team, won the race by almost a minute ahead of Rwandan rider Moise Mugisha of the . Swiss rider Patrick Schelling of originally finished third, but it was revealed in September 2020 that he had tested positive for use of terbutaline, an unauthorized asthma drug, on stage 2 on 24 February. The Tour of Almaty is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in Kazakhstan. It is sanctioned by the International Cycling Union (UCI) as a 2.1 race, as part of the UCI Asia Tour. From 2013 to 2016, the race was held as a one-day race, before moving to its current two-day format in 2017.
