''Yesterday'' is an EP by English rock band the Beatles, released on 4 March 1966 by Parlophone in the UK. The Beatles' 11th EP, it was also released in Portugal, Spain and Brazil (with another cover photo). The EP was released in mono only, and the cover photograph was taken by Robert Whitaker. ''Yesterday'' entered the UK EP chart on 12 March 1966, and from 26 March spent six weeks at number one. In all, it remained on the hit parade for 13 weeks. Act Naturally
"Act Naturally" is a song written by Johnny Russell, with a writing credit given to Voni Morrison and publishing rights transferred to Buck Owens. It was originally recorded by Buck Owens and the Buckaroos, whose version reached number one on the ''Billboard'' Country Singles chart in 1963, his first chart-topper. In 2002, Shelly Fabian of About.com ranked the song number 169 on her list of the Top 500 Country Music Songs. The song tells the tale of someone who has been jilted and, because of that, can play a film part of someone sad and lonely without knowing anything about acting. "It's Only Love" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, written mostly by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. It was first released in 1965 on the ''Help!'' album in the United Kingdom and on the ''Rubber Soul'' album in the United States. Recording The Beatles recorded "It's Only Love" at EMI Studios in London on 15 June 1965. Lennon's working title for the composition was "That's a Nice Hat". The band recorded six takes of the rhythm track, two of which were incomplete, with a line-up of 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars, bass and drums. The high register of the acoustic guitars was created through Lennon and George Harrison each using a capo on the neck of their instrument. "You Like Me Too Much" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles. It was written by George Harrison, the group's lead guitarist, and released in August 1965 on the ''Help!'' album, except in North America, where it appeared on ''Beatles VI''. The band recorded the track on 17 February that year at EMI Studios in London. Musical characteristics The song is in the key of G major and in 4/4 time. There is an introduction using piano and electric piano, with Paul McCartney and George Martin playing two different piano parts on separate ends of the same Steinway grand piano. His songs have been recorded by Burl Ives, Jim Reeves, Jerry Garcia, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Loretta Lynn and Linda Ronstadt. Lennon–McCartney was the songwriting partnership between English musicians John Lennon (1940–1980) and Paul McCartney (born 1942) of the Beatles.
