Yekaterinoslav
Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. It is located in the eastern part of Ukraine, southeast of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on the Dnieper River, after which its Ukrainian language name (Dnipro) it is named. Dnipro is the administrative centre of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. It hosts the administration of Dnipro urban hromada. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast ( uk, Дніпропетро́вська о́бласть, translit=Dnipropetrovska oblast), also referred to as Dnipropetrovshchyna ( uk, Дніпропетро́вщина), is an administrative divisions of Ukraine, oblast (province) of central-eastern Ukraine, the most important industrial region of the country. It was created on February 27, 1932. Chechelivskyi District () is an urban district of the city of Dnipro, in southern Ukraine. It is located in the city's center on the southwestern outskirts and the right-bank of the Dnieper River. History According to archeological finds, in the Paleolithic period (7—3 thousand ''Anno Domini'') human settlements appear near the in what is now the Chechelivskyi District. The district was known as the 5th court district of Yekaterinoslav (Dnipro's former name) when it was first created on 1 December 1897. Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is one of the names of the UTC+03:00 time zone, which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. It is used as a summer daylight saving time in some European and Middle Eastern countries, which makes it the same as Arabia Standard Time, East Africa Time, and Moscow Time. Borys Albertovych Filatov ( uk, Борис Альбертович Філатов; born 7 March 1972, in Dnipropetrovsk) is a Ukraine, Ukrainian politician, journalist, lawyer, businessman, and the current Mayor of Dnipro. In 2014 Ukrainian parliamentary election, 2014 and 2015 he was a member of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament. Biography On 4 March 2014, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration on internal affairs. City of regional significance ( uk, місто обласного значення, ''misto oblasnoho znachennia'') in Ukraine was a type of second-level administrative division or municipality, the other type being raions (districts). Tsentralnyi District ( uk, Центральний район) is an urban district of the city of Dnipro, in southern Ukraine. It is located in the city's center and on the right-bank of the Dnieper River. History The district was originally created in 1932 as the Tsentralnyi Nahornyi District. on 2 December 1934, after the death of Sergei Kirov, it was renamed as the Kirovskyi District. In 1936 the eastern part of district became the Zhovtnevyi District. In 1973 more territories of the Kirovskyi District were passed to the newly formed Babushkinskyi District.
