Yehuda Fox
Yehuda Fox (also Yehuda Fuchs, he, יהודה פוקס) (born 10 April 1969) is an Israeli major general who currently commands the Central Command. Previously he has commanded the Gaza Division of Israel Defense Forces. Military career Fox was drafted into the IDF in 1987. He volunteered as a paratrooper in the Paratroopers Brigade. He served as a soldier and a squad leader. He became an infantry officer after completing Officer Candidate School. Afterwards, he transferred to the Nahal Brigade and served as a platoon leader and as a company commander. Fox led the Brigade's anti-tank company in counter-guerrilla operations in South Lebanon, commanded a Nahal battalion in counter-terror operations in the Second Intifada. Later he commanded Judea Regional Brigade, IDF's Officer Candidate School and the Nahal Brigade. A military attaché is a military expert who is attached to a diplomatic mission, often an embassy. This type of attaché post is normally filled by a high-ranking military officer, who retains a commission while serving with an embassy. A company commander is the commanding officer of a company, a military unit which typically consists of 100 to 250 soldiers, often organized into three or four smaller units called platoons. The exact organization of a company varies by country, service, and unit type. Aviation companies can have as few as 40 personnel, while some specialized companies such as maintenance or training units are considerably larger and may number as many as 500 personnel. In some forces, the second-in-command of a company is called the executive officer (XO). Historically, companies were often formed and financed by individual owners rather than by the state. An officer candidate school (OCS) is a military school which trains civilians and Enlisted rank, enlisted personnel in order for them to gain a Commission (document), commission as Commissioned officer, officers in the armed forces of a country. How OCS is run differs between countries and services. Typically, officer candidates have already attained post-secondary education, and sometimes a bachelor's degree, and undergo a short duration of training (not more than a year) which focuses primarily on military skills and leadership. ''Squad Leader'' is a tactical level board war game originally published by Avalon Hill in 1977. It was designed by John Hill and simulates on infantry combat in Europe during World War II. One of the most complex war games of its time, ''Squad Leader'' is the natural extension of the trend towards greater realism (and hence complexity) initiated by several earlier games, including Avalon Hill's own ''PanzerBlitz'' and '' Panzer Leader''. Those two earlier games were slightly larger in scope, with counters representing platoons and map hexes measuring 250 metres across, compared to Squad Leader's 40 meter hexes and squad sized units.
