Yeelen Olympique
Yeelen Olympique is a Malian association football club based in Bamako, Mali. It was founded in August 2003 as a platform for young aspiring footballers to develop while receiving academic support. The club plays in the top-flight of Malian football since 2019-20 when it finished 2nd. History The club was founded in August 2003 in Bamako and played its first match in February 2004. The club first won silverware in November 2016 by winning the ''Coupe Acefoot'', before winning the third tier and gaining promotion to the second tier in June 2007. After winning the ''2017-18 Tournoi de Montée'', Yeelen gained promotion into the Malian Première Division for the first time in their history for the 2019-20 season. In the club's inaugural top flight season, Yeelen Olympique exceeded all expectations and finished 2nd in Pool B, thus qualifying for the ''Carré d'As'', the Championship Play-Off. Stade Du 26 Mars
Stade du 26 Mars is located in the southern neighborhoods of Bamako, Mali. It serves as a home ground for domestic football club Stade Malien and is the national stadium. It has a capacity of 50,000 as an all-seater stadium. Built in 2001, it is named for the date of Martyrs' Day (Mali), a national commemoration of 26 March 1991 Bamako uprising which overthrew the dictatorship of Moussa Traoré. Stade Malien is a Malian professional football and sports club based in Bamako. One of the two dominant clubs of Malian football, their eastern Bamako training grounds host other sports as well, including a successful basketball club. Football club Stade Malien de Bamako was founded in 1960 as a result of a fusion between ''Jeanne d'Arc'' and ''Espérance de Bamako''. Second only to Djoliba AC of Bamako in success, Stade Malien are their primary rivals.
