Yedapadavu
Yedapadavu is a former village (township) in Mangalore taluk, Karnataka, India, that was divided into Badagayedapadavu (North Yedapadavu) and Tenkayedapadavu (South Yedapadavu). Yedapadavu now gives its name, as "Yedapadav" to the gram panchayat for those two villages. The village of Tenkayedapadavu is the main village for the gram panchayat,2011 Census Village code for Tenkayedapadavu = 617485, and is sometimes called "Yedapadavu". Yedapadavu was affected by the 2008 attacks on Christians in southern Karnataka. Tenkayedapadavu is a panchayat village in the southern state of Karnataka, India.Village code= 2697400 2011 Census Village code for Tenkayedapadavu = 617485, Tenkayedapadavu, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka Administratively, it is under Mangalore taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka. It is located at a distance of 26 km from Mangalore city. There are two villages in the gram panchayat, Tenkayedapadavu and Badagayedapadavu. The village Tenka Yedapadav is the part of Yedapadavu, divided for easier administration of village. The Post name is "Shibrikere" which means "Shabari lake".
