Li Baotian (; born November 1946) is a Chinese actor. Li is a member of China Television Artists Association and China Film Association. His career accolades include one Flying Apsaras Award, six China Golden Eagle Awards, and two Hundred Flowers Awards. Life Early life Li was born in Jiawang District of Xuzhou city, Jiangsu province in November 1946, during the Chinese Civil War, with his ancestral home in Wendeng, Shandong. This is a list of submissions to the 87th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has invited the film industries of a number of countries to submit their best film for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film every year since the award was created in 1956. It is presented annually by the Academy to a feature-length film produced outside the United States with primarily non-English dialogue. The Foreign Language Film Award Committee oversees the process, reviewing all films submitted. For the 87th Academy Awards, held on 22 February 2015, a submitted motion picture must be released theatrically in its respective country between 1 October 2013 and 30 September 2014. The People's Republic of China has submitted films for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film since 1979. The award is handed out annually by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. China has submitted more than twenty films for Oscar consideration, two of which were nominated for an Oscar. Both of these films were directed by acclaimed Chinese director Zhang Yimou, whose films have been submitted by China eight times. Zhang was also nominated for an Oscar for a third film, as a representative of British Hong Kong.
