Yattalunga, South Australia
Yattalunga is a northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is the eastern in the City of Playford. Yattalunga is east of One Tree Hill, between the Gawler–One Tree Hill Road and the South Para River. The road runs near the top of the ridge separating the South Para River gorge from the Adelaide Plains. The eastern part of Yattalunga includes most of the Para Wirra Recreation Park. Electoral District Of King (South Australia)
King is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 state election. King is named after Len King , a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia and Attorney-General in the Dunstan government. The Electoral District Boundaries Commission considered that it had renamed the electoral district of Napier to King, but only 1479 of the estimated 27,002 voters in King had previously been voters in Napier from the rural areas of Bibaringa, One Tree Hill, Uleybury, Yattalunga. Adelaide Plains
The Adelaide Plains (Kaurna name Tarndanya) is a plain in South Australia lying between the coast (Gulf St Vincent) on the west and the Mount Lofty Ranges on the east. The southernmost tip of the plain is in the southern seaside suburbs of Adelaide around Brighton at the foot of the O'Halloran Hill escarpment with the south Hummocks Range and Wakefield River roughly approximating the northern boundary. Traditionally entirely occupied by the Kaurna (indigenous) people, the Adelaide Plains are crossed by a number of rivers and creeks, but several dry up during summer. South Para River
The South Para River is a river located in the Mount Lofty Ranges northeast of Adelaide in the Australian state of South Australia. The river's name is based directly on the Kaurna word ''pari'' which means river. The "south" descriptor distinguishes it from the North Para River with which it merges. Gawler, South Australia
Gawler is the oldest country town on the Australian mainland in the state of South Australia. It was named after the second Governor (British Vice-Regal representative) of the colony of South Australia, George Gawler. It is about north of the centre of the state capital, Adelaide, and is close to the major wine producing district of the Barossa Valley. The City of Playford is a local government area of South Australia in Adelaide's northern suburbs. It was named in recognition of Sir Thomas Playford, who played a part in the development of the area, and was South Australia's premier from 1938–1965. Uleybury
Uleybury is a rural locality near Adelaide, South Australia. It is located at the eastern side of the City of Playford local government area, just north of One Tree Hill along Gawler-One Tree Hill Road. History A weaver named Moses Bendle Garlick (c. 1784–1859) migrated with his family to South Australia in 1837 on the ship ''Katherine Stewart Forbes''. He settled first at North Adelaide, where he was in business as a builder until at least 1848. He then took up land at Munno Para East, naming it Uley, after his native village Uley in Gloucestershire, England, and there built a home which the family occupied from around 1850. His eldest son, the architect Daniel Garlick, opened a practice in nearby Gawler. Moses was a devout Baptist and lay preacher, and donated to the Church an acre of land where in 1851 he built the Uley Chapel at a cost of £400.
