Washington's 27th legislative district is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. The district includes most of northern Tacoma. Darneille (born July 9, 1949) is an American politician and educator who served as a member of the Washington State Senate, representing the 27th district from 2013 until her resignation in 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as a member of the Washington House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013.
