Yasmani Grandal
Yasmani Grandal (born November 8, 1988) is a Cuban-born American professional baseball catcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Milwaukee Brewers. Grandal is a two-time MLB All-Star. Early years Grandal was born in Havana, Cuba, where he played shortstop and third base on a junior national team. He emigrated to the United States with his mother, step-father, and maternal grandparents at age 10, through the lottery system. College Baseball
College baseball is baseball that is played on the intercollegiate level at institutions of higher education. In comparison to football and basketball, college competition in the United States plays a smaller role in developing professional players, as baseball's professional minor leagues are more extensive, with a greater history of supplying players to MLB. Moving directly from high school to the professional level is more common in baseball than in football or basketball.
