Yashwant Singh Parmar (4 August 1906 – 2 May 1981) was an Indian politician. He was a leader of the Indian National Congress and the first Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh state. Upon the formation of the constituent assembly of India in 1946, he represented Himachal Pradesh in the constituent assembly. For his key role in the formation of the Himachal Pradesh state, from the 1940s until 1977, Parmar is hailed as the architect, the founder, or the creator of the Himachal Pradesh state. In Hindi, he is widely referred to as 'Himachal Nirmata' (the creator of Himachal'). Personal life Parmar was born on 4 August 1906 in Chanalag village, in the princely state of Sirmaur. He served as the Minister of Finance from 1990 until 1991 under Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar and again from March 1998 to July 2002 under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He also served as the Minister of External Affairs from July 2002 until May 2004. He was a senior leader of the BJP before he left the party on 21 April 2018. Yashwant Dev (1 November 1926 – 30 October 2018) was a Marathi poet and composer from Maharashtra, India. He has contributed scores for many Marathi and Hindi movies. Career Dev was taught music by his father and made his public debut at All India Radio as a sitar player. He worked for Akashwani's Nagpur station in 1960s. He gained wide recognition once he launched the TV program Bhavsaragam, which helped make him popular across the Indian state of Maharashtra. After his first wife's death, he married Karuna Dev (nee Desai), more famous by her name Neelam Prabhu during her marriage to Marathi stage actor Baban Prabhu when she was a major star in AIR's Shrutikaa program. Yashwantrao Balwantrao Chavan (Marathi pronunciation: əʃʋənt̪ɾaːʋ t͡səʋʱaːɳ 12 March 1913 – 25 November 1984) was an Indian politician. He served as the last Chief Minister of Bombay State and the first of Maharashtra after latter was created by the division of Bombay state. Yashwant Rao Holkar (c. 1776-1811) also known as Jaswantrao Holkar belonging to the Holkar dynasty of the Maratha Empire was the Maharaja of the Maratha Empire. He was a gifted military leader and educated in accountancy as well as literate in Persian and Marathi and Urdu.
