Yashar Ali (born Yashar Ali Hedayat; fa, یاشار علی هدایت ; November 23, 1979) is an American journalist who has contributed to ''HuffPost'', NBC News, and ''New York'' magazine. In 2019, Ali was included in Time Magazine’s list of the most influential people on the internet, in part due to his large Twitter presence. Early life and education Ali was born into an Iranian family in Chicago. He grew up in Oak Park, Illinois, and attended Holy Cross High School in River Grove. Ali later moved to Los Angeles, working as a television production assistant on shows like '' E.R.'' and ''Chicago Hope''. ''The Just Measure''; קב הישר), authored by Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Kaidanover (1648–1712; Rabbi at Frankfurt, son of Aaron Samuel Kaidanover), is an "ethical-kabbalistic collection of stories, moral guidance, and customs",Moshe Idel: and one of the most popular works of musar literature of the last 300 years. Yashar LaChayal () ("Straight to the Soldier") is an Israeli non-profit organization established in 2006 that provides soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces with toiletries, relaxation corners, warm jackets, free food and beverages and other creature comforts. History During the Second Lebanon War in 2006, a group of volunteers drove hygienic supplies to soldiers stationed on the northern border of Israel. Dubbing the project "Operation Northern Points," they decided to continue their work after the war by founding the Yashar LaChayal organization. The organization's overhead expenses are paid for by a philanthropist. (Live in Japan)''. The single was released in May 1983 on Factory Benelux (FBN 25) and Factory Records UK (FAC 82). It reached No. 6 on the UK Indie Chart. Yashar Teymur oglu Aliyev ( az, Yaşar Teymur oğlu Əliyev) (born 19 August 1955) is an Azerbaijani diplomat who has been the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations since 2014. Previously he was Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2002 to 2006 and Ambassador to the United States from 2006 to 2011. He was also Azerbaijan's first ambassador to Cuba (2006). Background and education Yashar Aliyev is fluent in Azeri, English, Arabic, Russian and Turkish. He is married and has two children. Aliyev attended Azerbaijan State University from 1972 to 1977, where he achieved the school's highest degree in Oriental Studies.
