Yarraquin
Yarraquin or Yarraquin Station is a pastoral lease that currently operates as a cattle station and had previously operated as a sheep station. It is located about east of Cue and north of Mount Magnet in the Mid West region of Western Australia. The property occupies an area of approximately of rangeland and has a carrying capacity of approximately 8,400 sheep. It adjoins Cogla Downs Station. The property has two homesteads, the newer of which is a modern five bedroom, two bathroom home. When placed on the market in 2012 the property was running 600 head of cattle. John Herbert Butcher, who owned Yarraquin in 1929, died the same year. The property was retained by the Butcher family who also owned Meeberrie and Nangetty Station. Austin Downs Station or Austin Downs is a pastoral lease in the Mid West region of Western Australia. Description The property covers an area of and has traditionally farmed sheep for the production of wool. The station is located in the Murchison region of Western Australia; the nearest town is Cue, to the south east of the homestead. An area of within the station is composed of reserves and crown land. The word ''Cogla'' is the Aboriginal name for the fruit of a climbing plant found in the surrounding mulga country. Cue, Western Australia
Cue is a small town in the Mid West region of Western Australia, located 620 km north-east of Perth. At the 2016 census, Cue had a population of 178. Cue is administered through the Cue Shire Council, which has its chambers in the historic Gentlemans Club building. The current president is Ross Pigdon. Mount Magnet, Western Australia
Mount Magnet is a town in the Mid West region of Western Australia. It is one of the region's original gold mining towns, and the longest surviving gold mining settlement in the state. The prominent hill that is adjacent to the current townsite was called West Mount Magnet in 1854 by explorer Robert Austin, having named a smaller hill 64 km away, East Mount Magnet (now called Carron Hill). Both hills had an extremely high iron content which affected the readings of his compass. West Mount Magnet had its Aboriginal name reinstated by the Surveyor General in 1972, "Warramboo," meaning campfire camping place. Meeberrie
Meeberrie is a homestead and station name in the Murchison district of Western Australia. The station is situated approximately north of Mullewa. The Butcher family were the first leaseholders of the station and arrived from Victoria in 1876. The heritage listed station homestead was architect designed and built of local stone between 1917 and 1919. The homestead has an iron roof, a verandah surrounds the building and has two bay windows. A detached building with the jackaroo quarters, laundry and storeroom is found behind the main building. The station occupies an area of of which is composed of reserves and crown land.
