Yan Hui
Yan Hui (–481 BC) was a Chinese philosopher. He was the favorite disciple of Confucius and one of the most revered figures of Confucianism. He is venerated in Confucian temples as one of the Four Sages. Names Yan Hui is also known by his courtesy name Ziyuan and as Yan Yuan, a combination of his surname and courtesy name. He is also reverently referred to as Master Yan or Yanzi. Life Yan Hui was a native of the state of Lu. His father Yan Wuyou (Yan Lu) was one of the earliest disciples of Confucius. Yan Hui was about 30 years younger than Confucius, and became a student of the Master at a young age. Yan Hui was Confucius' favorite disciple. "After I got Yan Hui," Confucius remarked, "the disciples came closer to me." Yan Yan (disciple Of Confucius)
Yan Yan (b. 506BC), also known by his courtesy name Ziyou and as Yan You or Yanzi, was a prominent disciple of Confucius, considered by Confucius to be his most distinguished disciple in the study of the classics. A native of the state of Wu, he was the only known southerner among Confucius' disciples. Life Yan Yan was born in 506 BC in the State of Wu. He was 45 years younger than Confucius. Yan Yan served as commandant of Wucheng (Wu City) in the State of Lu. He was said to have succeeded in transforming the character of the people of Wucheng by teaching them ritual propriety and music, and was praised by Confucius. Peng Yanhui
Peng Yanhui (Yanzi, born ) is a Chinese gay rights activist. Peng grew up near Guangzhou and enrolled in university in Guangzhou in 2002, where he says he learned about homosexuality for the first time. In 2013, Peng quit his job and founded LGBT Rights Advocacy China. He became well known in 2014 after suing a private psychiatric hospital in Chongqing where he checked in underneath the pseudonym Yang Teng to investigate claims that it was using electroshock therapy to allegedly cure gay people. After he received such treatment, he won the case, receiving $500 compensation for suffering caused. The ''Yanzi chunqiu'' (" Yanzi Annals" or "Annals of Master Yan") is an ancient Chinese text dating to the Warring States period (475221) that contains a collection of stories, speeches, and remonstrations attributed to Yan Ying, a famous official from the State of Qi who served Duke Jing of Qi (r. 547489). Yanzi People
The Bayanzi (or Yan, Yanzi, Yansi people) are an ethnic group in the Democratic Republic of the Congo who live in the southwest of the country and number about seven million. They speak Kiyansi Bantu language. The largest political unit is the chieftainship, of which there are about 120 under 3 traditional kings of which the most prominent is the Kinkie or Binkie King whose latest figurehead was Mfum' ngol' or Mfumu ngolo as pronounced by Europeans (translated as the Great or strong King) from kidzweme territory and recently his successor Mfum' Ntwàl Moka Ngol' Mpat', a harvard trained economist.
