Yanti Armentia Barsales (born February 6, 1973) is a Filipino former footballer who played as a forward (association football), forward for the Philippine Air Force F.C., Philippine Air Force and the Philippines national football team, Philippines national team. Early life and education Yanti Barsales was born on February 6, 1973, and grew up in Magpet, North Cotabato. He would discover football when his family moved to Iloilo. He took up the sport when he was attending Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCF) in Tiwi, Barotac Nuevo, for his high school studies. He also simultaneously worked in the fishponds, improving his own physique at a young age. Club career Barsales went on to play for the Barotac Nuevo team in the 1989 Coke Go-For-Goal national championship in the U16 division. His hometown team would reach the finals. Jovin Hervas Bedic (born June 8, 1990) is a Filipino professional footballer who plays as a forward for Philippines Football League club Kaya-Iloilo and the Philippines national team. Early life Bedic was born in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo—a town nicknamed the "Football Capital of the Philippines". His father was a football instructor, while his older brother also played the sport. He began playing football in the second grade. Bedic attended West Negros University in Bacolod to study information technology and was part of the school's varsity team. 2010 AFF Championship
The 2010 AFF Championship, sponsored by Suzuki and P&G and officially known as the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup, was the 8th edition of the AFF Championship, took place on 1–29 December 2010. Indonesia and Vietnam hosted the group stage from 1 to 8 December. Two-legged home-and-away semi-finals and finals were held between 15 and 29 December 2010. Vietnam were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Malaysia in the semi-finals. Indonesia appeared in their fourth final while the Philippines qualified for the semi-finals for the first time under the management of Simon McMenemy. Malaysia subsequently won their first ever title since they first appeared in the final in the inaugural edition, beating Indonesia 4–2 on aggregate in the finals.
