Vice Chairperson Of The Standing Committee Of The National People's Congress
The Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress () is a political office in China. According to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, Vice Chairmen are responsible for assisting the Chairman in performing his duties as chair of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. Since 1982, Vice Chairmen are appointed for a term of five years, and cannot serve for more than two terms, just as with the Deputy Speaker of the Chinese Parliament. Zhu De
Zhu De (; ; also Chu Teh; 1 December 1886 – 6 July 1976) was a Chinese general, military strategist, politician and revolutionary in the Chinese Communist Party. Born into poverty in 1886 in Sichuan, he was adopted by a wealthy uncle at age nine. His uncle provided him with a superior early education that led to his admission into a military academy. After graduating, he joined a rebel army and became a warlord. It was after this period that he adopted communism. Joining the Chinese Communist Party, he ascended through the ranks of the Chinese Red Army as it closed in on securing the nation in the Chinese Civil War. By the time China was under Mao's control, Zhu was a high-ranking official within the party. He served as commander-in-chief of the Eighth Route Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War and commander-in-chief of the Eighth Route Army during the Chinese Communist Revolution, and the People's Liberation Army after liberation. China Democratic League
The China Democratic League (CDL) is one of the eight legally recognized minor political parties in the People's Republic of China under the Chinese Communist Party's United Front. The CDL was originally founded in 1941 as an umbrella coalition group of the Chinese National Socialist Party, the Chinese Youth Party and the Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party to fight the Imperial Japanese Army while providing for a "Third Way". By 2020, the party had grown to 330,600 members, making it the largest legally recognized minor political party in the People's Republic of China. Of all such parties it also has the most seats in the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress at 9 seats. Shen Junru
Shen Junru (; January 2, 1875 – June 11, 1963) was a Chinese lawyer, political figure, and the first president of the Supreme People's Court of China of the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China. Biography Shen was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu, with family ancestry in Jiaxing, Zhejiang during late Qing dynasty. He received the Jinshi or "presented scholar" degree, the highest under the imperial examination system. Shen completed a preparation course () at Hosei University, in Tokyo, Japan in 1905. Shen Junru and other six intellectuals in Shanghai were arrested in 1936 by Chiang Kai-shek's government, which is known as the Seven Gentlemen Incident. Shi Liang
Shi Liang (; March 27, 1900 – September 6, 1985) was a prominent lawyer and activist of the Republic of China. She was the only woman arrested in what was known as the Seven Gentlemen Incident on the eve of war with Japan in 1936. In 1949, she became the first Minister of Justice of the People's Republic of China. Biography Shi Liang was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu in 1900. Shanghai University, commonly referred to as SHU, or colloquially Shangda (), is a public research university located in Shanghai. The 555-acre main Baoshan campus is situated in the north of Shanghai, and there are two other campuses in Jiading and Jing'an.
