Yang Jinshan
Yang Jinshan (; born 1954) is a disgraced general in the People's Liberation Army of China. He served as the Deputy Commander of Chengdu Military Region between July 2013 to October 2014, and Commander of Tibet Military District from December 2009 to July 2013. Yang is a former member of 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, but was expelled from the body in 2014. Yang was promoted to the rank of major general (''shao jiang'') in December 2005 and lieutenant general (''zhong jiang'') in July 2011. Chinese media reported that Yang had close relations with Xu Caihou, who is the former Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission and General of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Yang (; ) is the transcription of a Chinese family name. It is the sixth most common surname in Mainland China. It is the 16th surname on the ''Hundred Family Surnames'' text. The Yang clan was founded by Boqiao, son of Duke Wu of Jin in the Spring and Autumn Period of the Ji (姬) surname, the surname of the royal family during the Zhou dynasty ) who was enfeoffed in the state of Yang. Zhong Jiang
(; ja, 将, Shō; ) is the rank held by general officers in some East Asian militaries. The ranks are used in both the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China on Taiwan. The People's Liberation Army and the People's Armed Police use three levels at present while the Republic of China Armed Forces use four. In both North and South Korea the rank is also used. Gu Junshan
Gu Junshan (; born October 1956) is a former lieutenant general in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China who was sentenced to prison for corruption. He served as the Deputy Director of the PLA General Logistics Department (GLD) from December 2009 to February 2012. During his tenure he oversaw the consolidation and sale of military real estate assets. Prior to that, he served as the chief of the barracks and housing division of the GLD, in charge of upgrades to the facilities and residences of army personnel. Born into a family of farmers, Gu joined the military when he was 17 years old. He worked in Northeast China, but was transferred back to his home province during the downsizing of the PLA in the 1980s. He then worked in logistics coordination for the Jinan Military Region, and was rapidly promoted thereafter. PLA National Defence University
The People's Liberation Army National Defence University () is a Beijing-based national military university administered by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and funded by the Central Military Commission. The university is the highest military academy in China and the "only comprehensive joint command university" in the PLA. The current president of the university is PLA general Xu Xueqiang. The university was formed in 1985 with the merger of parts of the PLA Military Academy, the PLA Political Academy, and the PLA Logistics Academy. It was preceded by the Counter-Japanese Military and Political University. In 2015, the People's Liberation Army National Defence University formed a think tank called the China National Security Studies Centre. Henan Province
Henan (; or ; ; alternatively Honan) is a landlocked province of China, in the central part of the country.
