Bargo, New South Wales
Bargo is a town in the Macarthur Region, New South Wales, Australia, in the Wollondilly Shire. It is approximately 100 km south west of Sydney. It is situated between the township of Tahmoor (north) and the village of Yanderra (south), and accessible via the Hume Highway that links Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. It was previously known as West Bargo and Cobargo. Facilities Bargo railway station was first opened on 19 July 1919 as ''West Bargo'' and then renamed in 1921 as ''Bargo''. The station is part of the Main South Line and is served by NSW TrainLink's Southern Highlands Line. The original Bargo railway station building on the eastern side of the platform was destroyed by arson. Currently in use is a permanent demountable building. Hume Highway
Hume Highway, inclusive of the sections now known as Hume Freeway and Hume Motorway, is one of Australia's major inter-city national highways, running for between Melbourne in the southwest and Sydney in the northeast. Upgrading of the route from Sydney's outskirts to Melbourne's outskirts to dual carriageway was completed on 7 August 2013. Wollondilly is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is represented by Nathaniel Smith of the Liberal Party. History Wollondilly was first established in 1904, partly replacing Bowral. In 1920, with the introduction of proportional representation, it absorbed Wollongong and Allowrie and elected three members simultaneously. In 1927, it was split into the single-member electorates of Wollondilly, Wollongong and Illawarra. It was abolished in 1981, but was recreated for the 2007 election, partly replacing Southern Highlands. Wollondilly is one of four electorates in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly to have been held by two Premiers of New South Wales while in office. Wollondilly Shire is a periurban local government area adjacent to the south-western fringe of Sydney, parts of which fall into the Macarthur, Blue Mountains and Central Tablelands regions in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Yerrinbool is a Northern Village of the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in the Wingecarribee Shire, and is accessible from the Hume Highway (via Bargo or Alpine) and is about a drive from nearby Mittagong. Syncarpia Glomulifera
''Syncarpia glomulifera'', commonly known as the turpentine tree, or yanderra, is a tree of the family Myrtaceae native to New South Wales and Queensland in Australia, which can reach in height. It generally grows on heavier soils. The cream flowers appear in spring and are fused into compound flowerheads. Taxonomy English botanist James Edward Smith first described the turpentine as ''Metrosideros glomulifera'' in 1797, from a collection in the Sydney district. The Main Southern Railway is a major railway in New South Wales, Australia. It runs from Sydney to Albury, near the Victorian border. The line passes through the Southern Highlands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes and Riverina regions.
