is a Japanese actor. Early life Yanagi was born on December 21, 1985, in Berlin, Germany. He lived in Germany for three years before moving back with his family to Japan. His family moved to India for work, and he lived there for three years. However, in the fourth grade, he attended an American boarding school. is a Japanese photographic artist who examines self-image and stereotypes of women in contemporary Japanese society. Yanagi was discovered by conceptual photographer Yasumasa Morimura, who noticed some of her work while borrowing her house as a set for a separate project. was a Japanese industrial designer. He played a role in Japanese modern design developed after World War II to the high-growth period in the Japanese economy. He is both a representative of the wholly Japanese modern designer and a full-blown modernist who merged simplicity and practicality with elements of traditional Japanese crafts. Yanagi Narayoshi ( ja, 柳楢悦; October 8, 1832 – January 15, 1891) was a Japanese mathematician, hydrographer, politician, and Imperial Japanese Navy officer. His father was Yanagi Sogoro, a samurai officer of the Tsu domain at Edo. Brief career Narayoshi learned mathematics from Murata Tsunemitsu, and was engaged in survey work around Ise Bay. In 1855, he was dispatched to Naval Training Center at Nagasaki in 1855, and then took part in the establishment of the Shogunate navy at Edo. After the Meiji Restoration, he entered the Imperial Navy, and became chief hydrographer when HMS ''Sylvia'' approached the Meiji government for joint survey over Japan's coastal lines.
