Yan Yan (disciple Of Confucius)
Yan Yan (b. 506BC), also known by his courtesy name Ziyou and as Yan You or Yanzi, was a prominent disciple of Confucius, considered by Confucius to be his most distinguished disciple in the study of the classics. A native of the state of Wu, he was the only known southerner among Confucius' disciples. Life Yan Yan was born in 506 BC in the State of Wu. He was 45 years younger than Confucius. Yan Yan served as commandant of Wucheng (Wu City) in the State of Lu. He was said to have succeeded in transforming the character of the people of Wucheng by teaching them ritual propriety and music, and was praised by Confucius. After Confucius died, Ji Kangzi, prime minister of Lu, asked Yan why Confucius was not as widely mourned as Zichan, prime minister of the State of Zheng. Yan Yan (Three Kingdoms)
Yan Yan ( 211–214 A.D.) was a Chinese military general and politician who served under Liu Zhang, the Governor of Yi Province (covering present-day Sichuan and Chongqing), during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China. Although there is very little information about Yan Yan in historical records, he is given a much prominent role in the 14th-century historical novel ''Romance of the Three Kingdoms'' as a general who initially serves under Liu Zhang before switching allegiance to Liu Bei later. Life Yan Yan was from Linjiang County (臨江縣), Ba Commandery (巴郡), which is around present-day Zhong County, Chongqing. He served as a military officer in Ba Commandery under Liu Zhang, the Governor of Yi Province (covering present-day Sichuan and Chongqing); Ba Commandery was one of the commanderies in Yi Province. Yan Yan (snack)
is a Japanese snack food made by Meiji Seika since 1979. It comes in a package with two compartments. One side has biscuit sticks (which can be sometimes called cracker sticks), the other side has chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or yogurt flavored frosting used for dipping. The sticks themselves may also be flavored. Some Yan Yan products are sold in rectangular containers with 9 sticks and dip. There is also a new version which includes two flavored dips. In 1982, British company KP Snacks began licensing Yan Yan for UK markets releasing it under the name Choc Dips. The sticks The sticks were once plain, but recently Meiji has placed pictures of various animals on them with quotes relating to that animal. Hung Yan-yan (born 25 February 1965, also credited as 熊欣欣 or Xiong Xin Xin) is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, stuntman and action director originally from Liuzhou, Guangxi, China. He was the stunt double for martial arts superstar Jet Li. Early life Hung was born in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China in 1965. He was placed in a martial arts school at age 12 after he was taken away from school. Hung trained for 12 years and won multiple championships. Film career After training, he went to Hong Kong and was discovered by famous filmmaker Lau Kar-leung, who was at that time filming ''Martial Arts of Shaolin'' starring Jet Li, and hired Hung as Li's stunt double. He then moved to Hong Kong in 1988. There, Hung became a stuntman, later an actor and action director. He had small roles as an actor. Yan Yan Chan ( my, ရန်ရန်ချမ်း, ; born 5 December 1979) is a Burmese hip hop singer, pioneer of Burmese hip hop, and pro-democracy activist. He is a founding member of Acid, Burma's first hip hop group. He is also one of the coaches from The Voice Myanmar.
