Yamuna Vihar
Yamuna Vihar is an affluent neighbourhood in North East Delhi. It is one of the posh colony of Delhi. It houses the zonal headquarters (north east) of the Directorate of Education, Delhi. Yamuna Vihar is near to Shahdara district, Shahdara, Maujpur and Bhajanpura. Kashmiri Gate (Delhi), Kashmiri Gate Inter State Bus Terminals, ISBT is around 6 km, Anand Vihar around 7 km, Delhi University (north campus), 7 km and Connaught Place, New Delhi, Connaught Place around 20 min and 30 min drive respectively from Yamuna Vihar. It comprises blocks B-1 to B-5 & C-1 to C-12. Bhajanpura is said to be the A Block of Yamuna Vihar (as per the locals). Each block has a market of its own apart from a central Vardhman Complex. Bhajanpura
Bhajanpura is a residential area in the North East District of Delhi, India, from Shahdara and from old Delhi railway station. It is a highly populated portion of the Trans Yamuna area. Bhajanpura is around from North campus and from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Shastri Park Metro Station (The First Depot of Delhi Metro). The are is currently used for commercial activities and is very well suited for residential purposes. There are few major attractions in Bhajanpura, but there is built out infrastructure. Transportation hubs include the nearby interstate bus terminal, railway station (Anand Vihar). This areas proximity to New Delhi and Old Delhi means there is a plethora of educational institutions like Lal Bahadur Shastri college which affiliated with Delhi University. 2020 Delhi Riots
The 2020 Delhi riots, or North East Delhi riots, were multiple waves of bloodshed, property destruction, and rioting in North East Delhi, beginning on 23 February 2020 and caused chiefly by Hindu mobs attacking Muslims. Of the 53 people killed, two-thirds were Muslims who were shot, slashed with repeated blows, or set on fire. The dead also included a policeman, an intelligence officer and over a dozen Hindus, who were shot or assaulted. More than a week after the violence had ended, hundreds of wounded were languishing in inadequately staffed medical facilities and corpses were being found in open drains. By mid-March many Muslims had remained missing. Muslims were marked as targets for violence. Signature Bridge
The Signature Bridge is a cantilever spar cable-stayed bridge which spans the Yamuna river at Tarun Goyat section, connecting Wazirabad to East Delhi. It is India's first asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge. The pylon of the Signature bridge is the tallest structure in Delhi and is double the height of Qutub Minar with its 154-metre high viewing box, which acts as selfie points for visitors. It shortens the travel time between north and northeast Delhi. A gurdwara (sometimes written as gurudwara) (Gurmukhi: ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ''guradu'ārā'', meaning "Door to the Guru") is a place of assembly and worship for Sikhs. Ramlila Maidan
Ramlila Maidan also Ramlila Ground is a large ground located in New Delhi, India, traditionally used for staging the annual Ramlila. It is used for religious festivals, major political rallies and meetings, and entertainment events. It is located near New Delhi Railway Station and Delhi Gate.
