Yamid Amat
José Yamid Amat Ruiz is a Colombian journalist. His basic education took place at Colegio Salesiano in Tunja. He studied at the Airlie Institute in Virginia, United States. His journalistic debut was at Emisora Monserrate in the 1960s. He would later join ''Radiosucesos'' newscast on RCN Radio, and the ''T. V. Sucesos'' newscast on television. He directed '' El Bogotano'' newspaper —where he was responsible for its infamous main headline published in the 2 January 1974 issue reading ''Maremoto en Bolivia'' ("Seaquake in Bolivia")—, Yamid AmatTitulé: Maremoto en Bolivia '' Revista SoHo'', 11 April 2007 worked for EFE news agency and was in charge of a column in ''El Espacio''. Tunja
Tunja () is a city on the Eastern Ranges of the Colombian Andes, in the region known as the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, 130 km northeast of Bogotá. In 2018 it had a population of 172,548 inhabitants. It is the capital of Boyacá department and the Central Boyacá Province. Tunja is an important educational centre of well-known universities. In the time before the Spanish conquest of the Muisca, there was an indigenous settlement, called Hunza, seat of the ''hoa'' Eucaneme, conquered by the Spanish conquistadors on August 20, 1537. The Spanish city was founded by captain Gonzalo Suárez Rendón on August 6, 1539, exactly one year after the capital Santafé de Bogotá. Coestrellas
Coestrellas was a Colombian ''programadora'' founded in 1981 by Fernando González Pacheco and Carlos Benjumea. Its original director was Bernardo Romero Pereiro. It was liquidated in 2003, one of the last casualties of the ''programadoras'' crisis of the early 2000s. Julio Sánchez Cristo is a Colombian radio personality, born 9 January 1959 in Bogotá. He is best known for his morning news, radioshow and variety show '' La W'', in the Spanish-owned broadcasting station W Radio. ''Noticias Caracol'' (until 9 October 2007 ''Caracol Noticias'') is the name for all the national newscast from the news division of Caracol Televisión which carries the same name. It is broadcast four times on weekdays and twice on weekends. In January 2015 the new director is Juan Roberto Vargas and the second director is Alberto Medina Lopez. Before becoming a network, Caracol Televisión produced the morning newscast ''7:30 Caracol'' in the mid-1990s.
