Akira Yamaoka
is a Japanese composer and music producer. He is best known for composing music for several video games in the ''Silent Hill'' series by Konami, among other games. Yamaoka also worked as a producer on the series, as well as composing for the ''Silent Hill'' film and its sequel. Since 2010, he has been the sound director at Grasshopper Manufacture. Early life Yamaoka attended Tokyo Art College, where he studied product design and interior design. He originally planned to follow a career in design. Yamaoka Tesshū
, also known as Ono Tetsutarō or Yamaoka Tetsutarō, was a famous samurai of the Bakumatsu period, who played an important role in the Meiji Restoration. He is also noted as the founder of the ''Itto Shoden Muto-ryu'' school of swordsmanship. Early life Yamaoka was born in Edo (present-day Tokyo) as Ono Tetsutaro, where his father was a retainer of the Tokugawa shogunate and his mother was the daughter of a kannushi, Shinto priest from Kashima Shrine. is a long-running Japanese cooking manga series written by and drawn by . The manga's title is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for delicious, ''oishii'', and the word for someone who loves to eat, ''kuishinbo''.
