Yamaha 29
The Yamaha 29 was a sailboat manufactured by Yamaha. On request from Yamaha, Group Finot in France designed the boat in 1973. The layout is innovative with a center cockpit and the main cabin in the rear. The Yamaha team with Mr Horinshi was very impressed with the design, and two prototypes were made in 1975. Group Finot is a French boat design company based in Jouy-en-Josas. Founded by Jean-Marie Finot, the company specializes in the design of fiberglass sailboats. The company also collaborates with designer Pascal Conq as ''Groupe Finot - Conq'', based in Vannes, France. The Fastnet Race is a biennial offshore yacht race organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club of the United Kingdom with the assistance of the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes and the City of Cherbourg in France. The race is named after the Fastnet Rock off southern Ireland, which the race course rounds. Sailing Yachts
A sailing yacht (US ship prefixes SY or S/Y), is a leisure craft that uses sails as its primary means of propulsion. A yacht may be a sail or power vessel used for pleasure, cruising, or racing.
