Yakshagaanam
''Yakshagaanam'' () is a 1976 Indian Malayalam-language horror film directed by Sheela (in her directorial debut) and written by S. L. Puram Sadanandan from a story by Medhavi. The film stars Madhu (actor), Madhu, Sheela,K.P.Ummer, Adoor Bhasi and Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair. The film has musical score by M. S. Viswanathan. The film was remade in Telugu language, Telugu as ''Devude Gelichadu'' and in Tamil language, Tamil as ''Aayiram Jenmangal'', which went on to be remade as ''Aranmanai'' in 2014. Plot Dr Venu is an Non-resident Indian and person of Indian origin, NRI, and his sister is Savitri. During his stay in an estate, he realizes that a spirit has possessed Savitri. To save his sister from the ghost, he seeks his psychiatrist friend for help. Sheela
Sheela Ravichandran (Born 22 March 1945) is an Indian actress and director who appears predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Paired with Prem Nazir, they hold the Guinness World Record for acting in the largest number of films (130) together as heroine and hero. Sheela is a four-time winner of Kerala State Film Award. She came back to acting in 2003 through ''Manassinakkare'' after a long period of 22 years. In 2005, she won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Malayalam film '' Akale''. In 2019, Sheela was honoured with the J C Daniel Award, the Kerala government's highest honour for outstanding contribution to Malayalam cinema. Aayiram Jenmangal () is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language horror film directed by Durai. Padmapriya and Rajinikanth appear in lead roles While Latha and Vijayakumar in supporting roles. Adoor Bhavani
Adoor Bhavani (1927 – 25 October 2009) was an Indian actress in Malayalam cinema, best known for her appearance in the National Award-winning film ''Chemmeen'' (1965), directed by Ramu Kariat. She had acted in about 450 films, including ''Mudiyanaya Puthran'', ''Thulabharam'', Kallichellamma, and ''Anubhavangal Paalichakal''. Her last film was K. Madhu-directed ''Sethurama Iyer CBI''. She was also a stage actress and was associated with popular theatre group KPAC. Bhavani was born in Adoor in Travancore. Her sister, Adoor Pankajam, was also a Malayalam film actress. Manavalan Joseph was a Malayalam film actor. He is an actor who worked in many movies during the 1950s and 1960s. He died in 1986 Background Manavalan Joseph was born at Fort Kochi then in the Malabar District of the Madras Presidency of British India. His first film was Neelakuyyil in 1954.
