Yakovlev Yak-77
The Yakovlev Yak-77 was a planned large business or regional commuter jet. Work began in 1992, but no prototype was ever produced. History The Yakovlev Yak-77 was to have been a large business jet and regional commuter, considerably larger than the earlier Yakovlev Yak-48. Little information has been released about this design. Development Work on the Yak-77 began in 1992, the project manager being S A Yakovlev. The aircraft was to have two AE 3010/12 turbofans, uprated members of the Allison 3000 family of two-shaft turbofans, each with a takeoff rating of 4,500 kg (9,920 lb). Avionics were to have been a Collins Pro Line 4 system. In configuration for a business jet, the aircraft would have had seating for eight in a generous cabin. Configured as a regional commuter it would have seated 32 in rows of 2+2. Streatched versions with seating for up to 70 were studied. The Yakovlev Yak-48 is a twin-engined long-range business jet or regional carrier. Design and development The Yakovlev Yak-48 was developed in 1989 as a long-range business jet capable of seating up to eight passengers and traveling from New York to Paris, or as a local-service airliner with seats for up to eighteen. The turbofan or fanjet is a type of airbreathing jet engine that is widely used in aircraft engine, aircraft propulsion. The word "turbofan" is a portmanteau of "turbine" and "fan": the ''turbo'' portion refers to a gas turbine engine which achieves mechanical energy from combustion, and the ''fan'', a ducted fan that uses the mechanical energy from the gas turbine to force air rearwards. Sukhoi Superjet 100
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 () or SSJ100 is a regional jet designed by Russian aircraft company Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, a division of the United Aircraft Corporation (now: Regional Aircraft – Branch of the Irkut Corporation). With development starting in 2000, it made its maiden flight on 19 May 2008 and its first commercial flight on 21 April 2011 with Armavia. The MTOW plane typically seats 87 to 98 passengers and is powered by two PowerJet SaM146 turbofans developed by a joint venture between French Safran and Russian NPO Saturn. By May 2018, 127 were in service and by September the fleet had logged 300,000 revenue flights and 460,000 hours. By November 2021 fleet had logged at least 2,000,000 hours. The Bombardier CRJ or CRJ Series (for Canadair Regional Jet) is a family of regional jets introduced in 1991 by Bombardier Aerospace. The CRJ was formerly manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace with the manufacturing of the first CRJ generation, the CRJ100/200 (introduced in 1991) and the second CRJ generation, the CRJ700 series (introduced in 1999).
