''Yahoo '' is a 2004 Indian Kannada-language horror film directed by Seetharam Karanth and starring Saurav, Neetha and Dattatreya. The film is based on a true incident that happened in a house in Haladi. The film was released on 10 December 2004 along with ''Praana''. Cast Production The film was shot in Raghavendra Maiyya's eight-hundred-year-old house. Havyaka Kannada Havigannada, also called as Havyaka Bhaashe and Havyaka Kannada, is the dialect of Kannada spoken in Malenadu and coastal region of Karnataka. Usage Havigannada uses similar verbs and words as mainstream Kannada. However, it has more in common ... and Tala-Maddale were used in the film. Dhruv Sharma
Dhruv Sharma (1982 – 1 August 2017) was an Indian Kannada-language actor and cricketer. Career Acting career Dhruv Sharma played a small role in '' Yahoo'' (2004). He made his debut as a lead actor with ''Snehanjali'' (2007), which won the Guinness Book of World Record for the first film to have a deaf-mute person in the lead role. The film received mixed reviews but Dhruv's performance was praised. His next film was the Malayalam film '' The Hitlist'' (2012) in which he played the antagonist. The film had a low-key release and notably featured Mohanlal in a voiceover. The film released to negative reviews with a critic opining that his performance was one of the saving graces. Havigannada Dialect
Havigannada, also called as Havyaka Bhaashe and Havyaka Kannada, is the dialect of Kannada spoken in Malenadu and coastal region of Karnataka. Usage Havigannada uses similar verbs and words as mainstream Kannada. However, it has more in common with Halegannada (Old Kannada) than other Kannada dialects. This might be the reason why even native Kannadigas of other regions find it difficult to comprehend it for the first time. It is spoken in the taluks of Thirthahalli, Shivamogga, Sagara, Sirsi, Yellapur, Siddapur, Honnavar, Hosanagara , Bhatkal, etc. where there is a higher density of Havyakas in relation to other places. In some parts of Uttara Kannada District such as Kumta, Honnavara, Bhatkal, Sirsi, and Siddapur, neuter gender is often used instead of feminine gender. Tala-Maddale
Tala-Maddale is an ancient form of performance dialogue or debate performance in Southern India in the Karavali and Malnad regions of Karnataka and Kerala. The plot and content of the conversation is drawn from popular mythology but the performance mainly consists of an impromptu debate between characters involving sarcasm, puns, philosophy positions and humour. The main plot is sung from the same oral texts used for the Yakshgana form of dance- drama. Performers claim that this was a more intellectual rendition of the dance during the monsoon season. The art form is popular in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Shimoga districts of Karnataka and Kasaragod district of Kerala. It is a derived form of Yakshagana—a classical dance or musical form of art from the same region.
