Yagi-nishiguchi Station
is a railway station on the Kintetsu Kashihara Line, located in Kashihara, Nara, Japan. It is a typical small station, but has a unique status as a non-independent station. For a historical reason, the station is a part of Yamato-Yagi Station, a large intersection station located about 300 meters north of the station. History The station is the original site of Yamato-Yagi Station which opened here in 1923 and moved to the present location in 1929 when the railway company did not remove the original platforms of the station and continued the service with the old facilities as well as the new Yamato-Yagi Station. Yagi-nishiguchi Station is therefore treated as the same station as Yamato-Yagi Station on some occasions, such as the calculation of distance-based fares. However, travel between Yagi-nishiguchi Station and Yamato-Yagi Station costs 150 yen, even though it is a mere move within the station, and walking the distance will take no longer than 5 minutes. Kintetsu Railway
, referred to as , is a Japanese passenger railway company, managing infrastructure and operating passenger train service. Its railway system is the largest in Japan, excluding Japan Railways Group. Kashihara, Nara
is a city located in Nara Prefecture, Japan. , the city has an estimated population of 124,829, with 52,034 households. Population density is around 3,176.79 persons per km2, and the total area is 39.52 km2. The city was founded on February 11, 1956. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). is a railway station on Kintetsu Kashihara Line and Osaka Lines in Kashihara, Nara, Japan, operated by Kintetsu Railway. It is a major station on the lines to and from Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Nagoya.
