Yadira Bendaña
Yadira Esperanza Bendaña Flores (born 20 November 1968, in Tegucigalpa) is a Honduran journalist and politician. She currently serves as deputy of the National Congress of Honduras representing the Liberal Party of Honduras for Francisco Morazán. She is well known in her country for being the host of the annual ''Teletón'' for six years; she left Televicentro (Honduras), Televicentro due to labour disputes. In 2009, in the aftermath of the 2009 Honduran coup d'etat, 2009 coup d'etat she was assaulted by an unknown man who called her a "golpista". Tegucigalpa
Tegucigalpa (, , ), formally Tegucigalpa, Municipality of the Central District ( es, Tegucigalpa, Municipio del Distrito Central or ''Tegucigalpa, M.D.C.''), and colloquially referred to as ''Tegus'' or ''Teguz'', is the capital and largest city of Honduras along with its sister city, Comayagüela. Claimed on 29 September 1578 by the Spaniards, Tegucigalpa became the country's capital on October 30, 1880, under President Marco Aurelio Soto, when he moved the capital from Comayagua. The National Congress ( es, Congreso Nacional) is the legislative branch of the government of Honduras. Organization The Honduran Congress is a unicameral legislature.
