Y Êli Niê (born 8 January 2001) is a Vietnamese footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for V.League 1 club Thanh Hóa and the Vietnam national under-23 team. Early life Y Êli Niê was born as the fifth child of seven. He is part of the Rade ethnic group, who assign surnames matrilineally (contrary to Vietnamese convention). Despite sharing a surname, he is not related to H'Hen Niê. He started playing football aged 10. He won the National U11 Championship with the Dak Lak U11 team. 2023–24 Vietnamese Cup
The 2023–24 Vietnamese National Cup () (known as the Casper National Cup 2023–24 for sponsorship reasons), was the 32nd edition of the Vietnamese National Football Cup, the premier knockout competition in Vietnamese football. A total of 25 clubs competed in this edition, including all teams from the top two tiers of the Vietnamese football league system. The competition began on 24 November 2023 with the first-round matches, and will be concluded on 7 July 2024 with the final. 2022 AFF U-23 Championship
The 2022 AFF U-23 Championship was the 3rd edition of the AFF U-23 Championship, organised by ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The tournament was held from 14 to 26 February in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Indonesia were the defending champions, having won the 2019 edition. The tournament was held amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Indonesia and Myanmar withdrew from the tournament after several of their players tested positive for COVID-19. Vietnam won the tournament for the first time after beating Thailand 1–0 in the final. Qualified teams There was no qualification, and all entrants advanced to the final tournament. AFF U-23 Championship
The ASEAN U-23 Championship (formerly AFF U-23 Championship) is an international football competition contested by the national under-23 teams of the member nations of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The inaugural edition was held in 2005. Background In 2005, the first edition was held in Bangkok, Thailand as the AFF U-23 Youth Championship. A second edition of the tournament was set to take place in Palembang, Indonesia between 16 and 26 July 2011 but was cancelled due to the main stadium of Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, which was to be used for the tournament, still being under renovation. In 2019, the tournament was then revived as the AFF U-22 Youth Championship with Phnom Penh, Cambodia as the host where it also served as a preparatory tournament for the Southeast Asian Games and AFC U-23 Asian Cup football tournament.
