Yellow Corporation is an American transportation holding company headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. Its subsidiaries include national less than truckload (LTL) carrier YRC Freight, regional LTL carriers New Penn, Holland and Reddaway and freight brokerage HNRY Logistics. From 2006 to February 2021, Yellow was known as YRC Worldwide. History Foundation and early history In 1906, Grover Cleveland “Cleve” Harrell (1884–1942) started what was to become the Yellow Cab Company with a horse-drawn hack and a team of horses in Oklahoma City. Overland Park ( ) is the second-most populous city in the U.S. state of Kansas. Reimer convinced his father Frank F. Reimer and brothers Delbert Reimer and Gerald Reimer from the farming community of Steinbach, Manitoba to join him in starting a trucking business. The original route for the company was between Winnipeg and Windsor, Ontario, with Winnipeg being the head office. Death spiral financing is the result of a badly structured convertible financing used to fund primarily small cap companies in the marketplace, causing the company's stock to fall dramatically, which can lead to the company's ultimate downfall. Some small companies rely on selling convertible debt to large private investors (see private investment in public equity) to fund their operations and growth.
