''Y'all Come Back Saloon'' is a 1977 album by American vocal quartet the Oak Ridge Boys. It was their first album of country music. Four singles were released from the album: the title song, " You're the One", " I'll Be True to You" and "Easy". The first three singles all sold well, and "I'll Be True to You" hit number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart. The Oak Ridge Boys
The Oak Ridge Boys are an American country and gospel vocal quartet originating in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The group was founded in the 1940s as the Oak Ridge Quartet. They became popular in Southern gospel during the 1950s. Duane Allen
Duane David Allen (born April 29, 1943) is an American singer/songwriter who had formal training in both operatic and quartet singing before becoming a member of The Oak Ridge Boys in 1966. Allen is the lead singer for the quartet and is heard on the majority of their most successful songs. Biography Duane is considered the President and CEO of the group. His personal hobby is the Oak Ridge Boys. He is active on social media and feels obligated to respond quickly to his fans. He also plans out how many tour days they need each year for his employees to live comfortably. They still tour roughly 150 days per year. He was inducted in the Texas Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Sheldon Kurland
Sheldon "Shelly" Kurland (June 9, 1928 – January 6, 2010) was a violinist and musical arranger who worked as a session musician in Nashville and provided arrangements for a number of prominent country musicians. Life and career Sheldon Kurland was a native of Brooklyn, New York, the son of Samuel and Beatrice Kurland and brother of Elaine Todd Koren. David Briggs (American Musician)
David Paul Briggs (born March 16, 1943 in Killen, Alabama, United States) is an American keyboardist, record producer, arranger, composer, and studio owner. Briggs is one of an elite core of Nashville studio musicians known as "the Nashville Cats" and has been featured in a major exhibition by the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015. He played his first recording session at the age of 14 and has gone on to add keyboards to a plethora of pop, rock, and country artists, as well as recording hundreds of corporate commercials. Johnny Gimble
John Paul Gimble (May 30, 1926 – May 9, 2015) was an American country musician associated with Western swing. Gimble was considered one of the most important fiddlers in the genre. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999 in the early influences category as a member of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys. Jerry Carrigan
Jerry Kirby Carrigan (September 13, 1943 – June 22, 2019) was an American drummer and record producer. Early in his career he was a member of the original Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section and later worked as a session musician in Nashville for over three decades. His style of drumming with a loose, deep-sounding snare drum melded country music with an R&B feel and helped develop a Nashville sound known as "Countrypolitan". His drumming is heard on many recordings which have become classics, some listed below. Henry Strzelecki
Henry Pershing Strzelecki (August 8, 1939 – December 30, 2014) was a Nashville studio musician who performed with Roy Orbison, Chet Atkins, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Eddy Arnold, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Ronnie Milsap, Merle Haggard, and many others. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Strzelecki began playing country music in his teens. He wrote the novelty song "Long Tall Texan," which was a hit for The Beach Boys. He worked with Chet Atkins for many years, both in the studio and on tour. He was considered a primary member of the Nashville A-Team and worked with nearly every star to come out of Nashville in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Bobby Thompson (born Robert Clark Thompson; July 5, 1937 – May 18, 2005) was an American banjoist and guitarist. He worked as a session musician from the 1960s through 1980s. He recorded with Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Neil Young, Perry Como, among others. Thompson was born in Converse, South Carolina. In the late 1960s, he joined his fellow session musicians, Weldon Myrick (musician), Weldon Myrick, Charlie McCoy to form Area Code 615 (band), Area Code 615. He died in 2005 at the age of 67.
