''Y'All Get Scared Now, Ya Hear!'' is the debut album by the Scottish indie rock supergroup The Reindeer Section, released on 30 October 2001. The album was recorded over a ten-day period between January and February 2001. The core band throughout the album consists of vocalist/guitarist Gary Lightbody, drummer Jonny Quinn, guitarist/harmony vocalist William Campbell, acoustic guitarist/harmony vocalist Charles Clark, bassist Gareth Russell, and violinist/vocalist Jenny Reeve with various musicians joining in on a number of tracks - with everyone considered a member in keeping with the collective spirit. Gareth Russell (musician)
Gareth Russell is a Scottish musician, best known as the former bass guitarist for the indie rock band Idlewild (band), Idlewild. Russell joined the band in 2006, following the departure of Gavin Fox (musician), Gavin Fox, and recorded two studio albums with the band: ''Make Another World'' (2007) and ''Post Electric Blues'' (2009). Russell also performed in Astrid (band), Astrid until their split, and was also a member of The Reindeer Section. Aidan Moffat
Aidan John Moffat (born 10 April 1973) is a Scottish vocalist and musician, and member of the band Arab Strap. Early life Moffat was born and raised in Falkirk, Scotland. The first album he bought was ''Elvis Sings for Kids'' by Elvis Presley. Whilst at Falkirk High School, he listened to such groups as Pixies, Dinosaur Jr. and Slint. His first ever gig was at the age of 16, and saw David Byrne at Glasgow Barrowlands in 1989. In 1990, aged 17, he was expelled from school, with no Higher Qualifications. He then worked for four years at an independent record shop called Sleeves Records, resigning one morning in 1996, due to having a hangover and wanting to go home. Colin MacIntyre (born 8 April 1971) is a Scottish musician and novelist. A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he has released five albums under the name Mull Historical Society as well as two albums under his own name. His most successful album, Mull Historical Society's '' Us'' (2003), reached number 19 in the UK Albums Chart. His debut novel, ''The Letters of Ivor Punch'', was published in 2015. John Cummings (musician)
John Cummings is a Scottish musician and record producer, best known for being a former member of Glaswegian band Mogwai, mostly playing guitar, as well as programming, keyboards and vocals. Career Mogwai After forming and playing a few gigs in 1995 as a three-piece, Mogwai enlisted John Cummings on guitar. Though he mostly contributed guitar to the band, Cummings has also sung on the song "Boring Machines Disturbs Sleep", from 2003's ''Happy Songs for Happy People''. Arab Strap (band)
Arab Strap are a Scottish indie rock band whose core members are Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton. The band were signed to independent record label Chemikal Underground, split in 2006 and reformed in 2016. The band signed to Rock Action Records in 2020. Mogwai () are a Scottish post-rock band, formed in 1995 in Glasgow. The band consists of Stuart Braithwaite (guitar, vocals), Barry Burns (guitar, piano, synthesizer, vocals), Dominic Aitchison (bass guitar), and Martin Bulloch (drums). Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish–Scottish Rock music, rock band formed in 1994 in Dundee, Scotland. Astrid (band)
Astrid is a guitar-pop foursome formed in Glasgow in the mid-1990s, but with strong ties to Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides, Scotland. The group released three studio albums, as well as several singles and EPs, before breaking up in 2004. History Willie Campbell, Charles Clark and Gareth Russell were childhood friends who moved from the Isle of Lewis, off the West coast of Scotland, to Glasgow in the mid-1990s. There, the three began writing songs together; Campbell on vocals, Clark on acoustic guitar and Russell on bass guitar. They then met up with drummer Gareth Thom and began rehearsing in 1997.
