Xu Jingtao (; born August 5, 1993, in Harbin) is a Chinese curler. Career As a junior curler, Xu played lead for the Chinese men's team (skipped by Jiang Dongxu) at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships, finishing with a 1–8 record. He also played for China (skipped by Wang Jinbo), throwing second rocks at the 2015 Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships, picking up a silver medal. After juniors, Wang joined the Chinese men's national team in 2017, playing second for the team, skipped by Zou Dejia for the 2017–18 season, and then as lead for the 2018–19 season on the team, which was skipped by Zou Qiang. In the 2017–18 season, the team played in the 2017 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, taking home the silver medal. Zou Dejia
Zou Dejia (; born April 7, 1983) is a Chinese curler from Harbin. Career In 2007, Zou skipped the Chinese team at the 2007 Winter Universiade. The rink finished with a 4–5 record, missing the medal round and placing fifth. Zou's second international event was at the 2011 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship where he and team mate Li Xue represented China. The pair finished the round robin with a 5–2 record, and won their qualification game against Finland to make the playoffs. However, they lost in the quarter-final to Sweden. In 2012, Zou became the skip of the second Chinese team on the World Curling Tour. His first WCT tour event win as a skip came at the 2012 Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic where he beat Brent Gedak in the final. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Teams earned points in every event with the top 30 qualifying for the season ending " V.O. Cup", today known as the Players' Championship. Its first president and CEO was Lukowich. 2020 World Men's Curling Championship
The 2020 World Men's Curling Championship (branded as the 2020 LGT World Men's Curling Championship for sponsorship reasons) was scheduled to be held from March 28 to April 5 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. On March 14, 2020, the World Curling Federation announced the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was set to be the first event to start gathering points towards the 2022 Winter Olympic Qualification. Upon cancellation, the qualifying process was left unclear. The 2020 World Qualification Event for the World Curling Championships was held from January 13 to 18 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. The competition consisted of sixteen teams divided evenly into men's and women's divisions. The top two teams in the men's division qualified to compete at the 2020 World Men's Championship and similarly the top two teams in the women's division qualified to compete at the 2020 World Women's Championship. Kevin Koe
Kevin Koe ( ; born January 11, 1975) is a Canadian curler. Koe is a two-time World champion and four-time Canadian champion. He was the skip of the Canadian men's team at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Originally from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, he now resides in Calgary, Alberta and curls out of The Glencoe Club. He learned to curl at the age of six in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Career Junior career After several trips to the territorial junior men's curling championships, Koe finally won in 1994. This earned him the right to skip the Northwest Territories/Yukon team at the 1994 Canadian Junior Curling Championships.
