Banqiao District
Banqiao District () is a district and the seat of New Taipei City, Taiwan. It has the third-highest population density in Taiwan, with over . Until the creation of New Taipei City, Banqiao (then transliterated as Banciao or Pan-ch'iao) was an incorporated county-administered city and the former seat of Taipei County. Name origin The district's old name was ''Pang-kio'' (), which dates back to the Qing Dynasty during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735 - 1796 AD). Banqiao Station
Banqiao () is a railway and metro station in New Taipei, Taiwan served by Taiwan High Speed Rail, TRA and Taipei Metro. With the exception of the Circular Line, all other tracks and platforms in the station are located underground. The station is served by the fastest HSR express services of the ''1 series''. The current station building opened in 1999 for TRA, 2006 for Taipei Metro, and 2007 for HSR. The station currently handles over 77 million entries and exits per year. The Taipei Metro Dapinglin station (formerly transliterated as Ta Pinglin Station until 2003) is located in Xindian District, New Taipei, Taiwan. New Taipei Industrial Park () is a metro station in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei, Taiwan, served by both the Taoyuan Metro and the Taipei Metro. The station opened for commercial service on 2 March 2017 with the commencement of operations of the Taoyuan Airport MRT and is served by both Commuter and Express trains on that line. ''United Daily News'' (UDN; ) is a newspaper published in Taiwan. It is considered to support the pan-Blue Coalition in its editorials. History UDN was founded in 1951 by Wang Tiwu as a merger of three newspapers, ''Popular Daily'' (全民日報), ''National'' (民族報), and the ''Economic Times'' (經濟時報).
