XMG Studio
XMG Studio was a mobile game developer based in Toronto, Canada. The company was founded by Ray Sharma in 2009. XMG made games on iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms. On these platforms, they made games such as Fashion Star Boutique and Drag Racer World, and co-produced/licensed projects including Degrassi and Ghostbusters: Paranormal Blast. XMG had partnered with mobile games publisher DeNA to bring select games to DeNA's mobile social game network. In 2012, XMG collaborated with Shaftesbury Films and its digital media division Smokebomb Entertainment to create an app-based video series known as "Totally Amp'd." Additionally, XMG has worked with Sony and MuchMusic to create the Degrassi and Ghostbusters - Paranormal Blast apps. Grace (plotting Tool)
Grace is a free WYSIWYG 2D graph plotting tool, for Unix-like operating systems. The package name stands for "GRaphing, Advanced Computation and Exploration of data." Grace uses the X Window System and Motif for its GUI. It has been ported to VMS, OS/2, and Windows 9*/NT/2000/XP (on Cygwin). In 1996, Linux Journal described Xmgr (an early name for Grace) as one of the two most prominent graphing packages for Linux. History Grace is a descendant of the ACE/gr plotting tool (also known as Xvgr), based on Xview libraries from OpenWindows. Xvgr was originally written by Paul Turner of Portland, Oregon, who continued development until version 4.00. The Great Canadian Appathon (GCA) was a 48-hour game design and development competition open to Canadian college and university students. Students attempted to design, develop and program a working mobile game within the restrictions of an annually changing game 'theme'. Individuals, or teams of up to four students, worked for 48-hours in designated 'HUBS' set up at participating universities and colleges, to submit their games for a variety of prizes.
