Xyrion Trio
The Xyrion Trio is a German european classical music, classical piano trio. Biography and career The Xyrion Trio was founded in 2001, and includes Nina Tichman, piano, Ida Bieler, violin, and Maria Kliegel, cello. The trio has performed in many major cities, and has also performed in international festivals, including the Beethovenfest Bonn, Ludwigsburger Schloßkonzerte, Rheinische Musikfest. The Xyrion Trio has performed throughout Germany, Switzerland, Spain and France, and in 2007, assumed the artistic directorship of the Andernacher Musiktage which takes place every year in May. The Xyrion Trio has recorded several CDs, including a series of Beethoven's complete piano trios, for the Naxos Records, Naxos label, to include a total of five volumes. European Classical Music

Nina Tichman
Nina Tichman (born 27 April 1949 in New York) is an American pianist. She studied at the Juilliard School in New York, which awarded her the Eduard-Steuermann-Prize for outstanding achievements, then in Europe with Alfons Kontarsky, Hans Leygraf and Wilhelm Kempff. Tichman has received numerous prizes, including at the Busoni, Casagrande, ARD, Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, European Piano Contest Bremen, and Mendelssohn competitions. Her recording of the complete works of Claude Debussy, which she also performed cyclically in New York and in Frankfurt. Works for piano and violoncello with the cellist Maria Kliegel and Beethoven's Piano Trio with the Xyrion Trio. She has also made further recordings with works by Bartók, Copland (complete work), Chopin, Corigliano, Fauré, Mendelssohn, Penderecki, Reger. Ida Bieler
Ida Bieler (born 1950 in Virginia) is an American violinist and professor of Violin. Biography Bieler studied under Ruggiero Ricci at the North Carolina School of the Arts, Oscar Shumsky at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, Max Rostal in Cologne and Nathan Milstein in London. From 1982 to 1988 she was concertmaster of the Gürzenich Orchestra of Cologne. Bieler has been a member of the Melos Quartet. In 2001 she helped create the Xyrion Trio with Maria Kliegel and Nina Tichman and in 2003 the Heine Quartet. Since 1993 she has been Professor at the Robert Schumann University of Düsseldorf, where she leads the master class for violin. (As of 2015 she is no longer with the Xyrion Trio.) Maria Kliegel
Maria Kliegel (born 14 November 1952) is a German cellist. Professional career Kliegel was born in Dillenburg, Hesse. She studied under Janos Starker starting at the age of 19. She won first prize at the American College Competition, First German Music Competition and Concours Aldo Parisot, and was also the Grand Prize winner at the second Mstislav Rostropovich International Cello Competition in 1981. Russian composer Alfred Schnittke recognized her interpretation as the standard recording of his work when she recorded his First Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in 1990. On top of this, she has done many recordings for Naxos, including concertos and other cello works by Beethoven, Bloch, Brahms, Bruch, Dohnányi, Dvořák, Elgar, Lalo, Saint-Saëns, Shostakovich, Schumann, Tavener and Tchaikovsky.
