Xinjiang Flying Tigers
The Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers () is a professional basketball team based in Ürümqi, Xinjiang, China. The team play its home games at the Hongshan Arena, which has a capacity for 3,800 spectators. The club joined the Chinese Basketball Association Division 2 in the 1999–2000 CBA season, advanced to Division 1A in the 2002–03 season, and had three consecutive Grand Finals appearances in the 2008–09, 2009–10 and 2010–11 seasons. The Flying Tigers won their first Championship in the 2016–17 CBA season, defeating their long-time rival Guangdong Southern Tigers 4–0 in the finals. Li Gen (basketball)
Li Gen (), born August 15, 1988) is a Chinese professional basketball player who plays for the Beijing Royal Fighters in the Chinese Basketball Association. Professional career Li started his career with the Shanghai Sharks at the age of 20 during the 2008–09 CBA season. After two winters in Shanghai, he moved to the Qingdao Eagles for the next two years. He averaged 18 points per game to lead all domestic players in scoring during the 2011–12 CBA season, and was also the MVP of that campaign's CBA All-Star Game. The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier professional men's basketball league in China. The league is commonly known by fans as the CBA, and this acronym is even used in Chinese on a regular basis. 2007–08 Chinese Basketball Association Season
The 2007–08 CBA season was the 13th CBA season. The season was shortened due to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and the regular season ended in early January 2008. Guangdong Southern Tigers won the CBA title, even after the departure of Yi Jianlian for NBA. Regular season Xinjiang Flying Tigers finished the regular season with 26–4 in second place. Before the playoffs, it was determined that one of their players, Sou Song Cun, was not of Chinese nationality, thus violating the rule that each team may only have two foreign players. The league subsequently ruled Xinjiang loss with the score of 0–20 in all 18 matches in which Sou played, 15 of them wins originally. The Sichuan Jinqiang Blue Whales (sometimes spelled Whale) (四川金强蓝鲸), also known as Sichuan Jinqiang or Sichuan Jinrong Industry, are a professional basketball team based in Wenjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan, China, which plays in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association.
