Xing Aiying
Xing Aiying (; born 2 August 1989) is a Chinese-born Singaporean former badminton player who competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Early life Xing was born in Jiangsu, China, and she is a former Nanjing city age-group champion in 1998. She came to Singapore in 2003 and became the Chinese youngest player to join the Singapore Badminton Association (SBA). Career Xing started her debut in international tournament at the 2003 Thailand King's Cup. In 2004, she was the women's doubles runner-up at the Croatian International tournament, and won her first international title at the World Badminton Grand Prix event U.S. Open in the singles event at the age of 15. In 2005, she reached the final round in the women's singles event at the Bitburger Open and Cheers Asian Satellite tournaments. Xing (surname)
Xing (Chinese: 邢) is a Chinese surname. There are two hypothesized sources for the extant catalogue of surnames: 1. According to the ''Yuanhe Xing Zuan'', Xing is originated from Ji ( 姬), the royal family of Zhou Dynasty in China. The fourth son of the Duke of Zhou, was appointed the ruler of the State of Xing (now Xingtai city of Hebei Province). Olga Anatolyevna Konon ( be, Вольга Анатольеўна Конан; rus, Ольга Анатольевна Конон; born 11 November 1989) is a badminton player from Germany, and is of Belarusian origin. Career Konon is known for her speed and attacking style of play. She is currently coached by Kim Ji Hyun and Per Henrik Croona. Konon won her first major international tournament in 2004, at the Finnish International in the mixed event. She was only 14 at the time. In 2005, she traveled to the north east of England to take on then county champions, mixed doubles team Andrew Dodds and Cheryl Wigham. Konon and her partner were beaten 21–9, 21–14. In her next match she suffered a knee ligament injury at the Swedish International. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). Wong Mew Choo
Datin Wong Mew Choo (born 1 May 1983) is a Malaysian former badminton singles player. She was known for her exceptional stamina and endurance. Without any significant attacking weapons, she initially built her game on her ability to endure long rallies, sending the shuttle continually back against more powerful players. These tactics served her well, but put a lot of pressure on her knees and ankles. She suffered from various long term injuries during her playing career.
